At play.connect.thrive we want to be transparent from the outset about our fees and charges,
so that you will always know what to expect.

Services are available for self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants,
and self-funded families in Hervey Bay and across the Fraser Coast.

Early intervention sessions are generally 60 minutes in length,
depending on the individual needs of the child and family.

  • Initial Intake Appointment

    1.5 hours, face to face appointment +
    30 minutes non-face-to-face time to commence your child’s file and document appointment notes

    This appointment is conducted with the parent, and with the child
    (where possible)

    The intake appointment aims to gain information about your child and family history, discuss what is currently happening, complete paperwork and plan next steps including frequency and length of sessions.

    This is also an opportunity to establish and build a connection with you and to answer any questions you may have.

    Fee - $385

  • Individual Sessions

    50 minutes face-to-face +
    10 minutes non-face-to-face time for session planning, preparation, documenting progress notes on your child’s file

    Individual sessions may take place in your home, childcare/school and in the community. Limited appointments are available in our therapy space.

    Length of sessions can be negotiated to suit the needs of the child and family. Please feel free to discuss this with your key worker.

    Our key worker services are charged at the NDIS gazetted rate - the hourly rate is $193.99

  • Group Sessions

    variable session length time, depending on program type

    Group programs vary in structure and length of session/number of weeks - they generally run for 1.5-2-hour sessions, for 8-week periods, and group participation is on the condition that your child is entering into a planned program to work towards achieving a specific outcome. You are required to pay for each session within the planned program, whether your child attends the group or not. Two weeks’ notice must be given if you wish to withdraw from the group.

    Fees are as quoted in the invitation letter for the group that your child is enrolled in.

    Fees are calculated using the key worker’s hourly rate, plus therapy assistant hourly rate, divided by the number of participants enrolled in the group program.

    Fees include the facilitators time for session planning, group session with participants, group set up and clean up, email communication to parents after each group (if applicable), and documenting progress notes in your child's file.

  • Review Appointment

    50 minutes face-to-face appointment +
    10 minutes non-face-to-face time for documenting appointment notes on your child’s file

    This appointment is conducted with the parent, and without the child
    (where possible)

    The review appointment aims to gain information on how you feel your child is progressing and provide information on progresses in sessions. It is also an opportunity to share strategies and supports that are working in sessions.

    The review appointment can be requested at any time, as deemed necessary by the family/carer or key worker.

other fees & services

Non face-to-face services

The following services are charged at the hourly rate of $193.99:

  • Extended therapy sessions

  • Documenting progress notes in your child's file after each face-to-face session

  • Written, phone or in-person communication by your child’s key worker with teachers, doctors, allied health professionals and other stakeholders to provide consultation, training, case conferencing and/or collaboration to support your child’s therapy goals and plan

  • Development of home program

  • Comprehensive report writing e.g. Developmental Reports for Paediatricians or school, NDIS review reports, NDIS functional capacity assessment reports

  • Brief report and letter writing to parents, teachers, doctors etc.

  • Email correspondence to parents, teachers, doctors etc.

  • Completing forms e.g. individual family therapy plans, client risk assessments and other forms or documentation required for NDIS, Centrelink, school etc.

Travel fees

A travel cost fee may be charged dependent on location
(amount agreed upon at time of booking).

Cancellation fees

Cancellation fees are charged at the rate of 100% of the Scheduled Appointment Fee if cancellations are made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.

If your child is sick, for their health and well-being and that of other clients and our staff, please cancel their appointment. Due to the ongoing structure and demand for our services, rescheduling of appointments at short notice is unavailable at this time.

All pricing will be discussed with you at your initial intake appointment.
At any time additional fees are to be charged, we will take the time to discuss with you prior to this happening.

All pricing above is applicable to self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants.
